Our mission has always been to create a more sustainable world through our brand and our products. Today, thanks to our values: sustainability, responsibility, awareness and transparency, we have reached a new goal. We are now a “Società Benefit”.

If you are wondering what it is, a “Società Benefit” is a company that legally aligns its profit objectives with the creation of a positive impact on society and on the planet.

A “Società Benefit” is committed, day after day, to maintain high standards of purpose, responsibility and transparency aiming to a continuous over time. The path is still long but we are happy to have taken another step towards a more sustainable future.

For a big company, sustainability is a challenge. But Korff believes that it is the only way to look to the future and for this reason we firmly and responsibly participate to the change.

We started with everyday actions: all the energy we use in our production plant comes from renewable sources and our investment in intelligent lighting systems brought great results. We have already saved 60,000 Kw / h of electricity, the equivalent of 24 tons of CO2.

Our factory has also reached another goal that made us very proud: it has obtained the ECOCERT / COSMOS certification, for the production of natural and organic cosmetics. This certification guarantees and promotes socially conscious practices aimed at respecting the environment.

    BIODEGRADABILITY

    Products marked with the turtle symbol are biodegradable. This means that our formulas, if dispersed in the environment, decompose by bacteria and microorganisms into less polluting compounds.

    OUR PACKAGING ALSO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT.

    The packaging sector is experiencing a process of change towards a greater sustainability. We are thrilled to be able to contribute to this change through our packaging. Our journey is in the early stages, but we aim to go far.

    First of all, our packaging is all made of recyclable materials. Where possible, we have replaced plastic packaging with 100% recyclable glass and, when this is not possible, we choose recycled plastic or environmentally friendly plastics, such as those listed below.

    R-PET

    Plastic obtained through recovery processes through separate collection and recycling of the common PET. Some examples? The jars of the Essential Masks, the bottles of the Regenerating Toner and the Biphasic Make-up Remover are made from 100% R-PET.

    PCR PLASTIC - POST-CONSUMER RECYCLING PLASTICS

    Plastics deriving from the separate collection of packaging after their use. These guarantee the same physical-mechanical characteristics of traditional plastics derived from synthetic sources, combining them with a low environmental impact. The All-in-one Milk and Purifying Cleansing Gel tubes are made up of 50% PCR.

    GREEN PE

    They are plastics not obtained from oil, but from the fermentation of plant materials such as sugar cane, grown by absorbing CO2 from the air. By doing so, the production of vegetable plastics can help reducing the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. The tube of the Neverending Foundation is made with this material.

    FSC PAPER

    Even for paper packaging, Korff prefers environmentally friendly raw materials, such as FSC paper cartons. FSC® certified paper promotes responsible forest management. In fact, the brand guarantees that the entire wood-paper supply chain derives from forest management that respects the environment, socially useful and economically sustainable.
